Locking Addresses for Shipping!

Hi everyone! The fixed pins are en route and we should be ready to begin shipping everything by mid-April.
To get everything ready for shipping, we're going to be locking addresses within the next few days. Every backer should receive a notification email when we hit the "Lock Shipping" button that gives you a 48 hour grace period to update your address, so keep an eye out for that!
Once we lock addresses, we'll be able to get all our materials sorted out and prepare for the big shipping push. If you have any questions about anything, don't hesitate to ask.

Limited Editions in Hand and a Minor Pin Delay!

Hi everyone! I was hoping to spend this month's update going on about how excited I was that things were finally all prepped and ready to ship out--and to be honest, most of them are! Technically we've got all our rewards in hand, as you can clearly see below:

...wait, something looks off. Let's look at the proofs:
AHA that's what looked off! Beck's pants and sash colors got mixed up in production.
Well, that's unfortunate, isn't it? We've reached out to our pin manufacturer and will be getting the pin replaced, but of course this delays their shipping by a little bit (they need to get re-manufactured, re-shipped, and then Sara needs to swap them out on all our pin boards).
So that's a little hiccup, but as you can see, everything else is looking ready to go. The moment I know how long this pin replacement process will take, I'll post up another update with some updated shipping timelines for folks.

Sample Books in Hand and a Note on Charging Cards on BackerKit!

We couldn't be happier to show off the first look at the finished and completed book design! These final proofs were just recently sent to Rachel and aside from a little tweak to the ISBNs on the Limited Edition back cover.
One of the elements we've kept in mind since designing the very first book was to come up with a design language that tracks across each book, but keeps them consistent and looking like they're all part of the same series.
Rachel was kind enough to line up the previous books so we could see how things look side-by-side!
We think it's looking pretty spot-on! Once we've got another update from the printers, we'll let you know!
BackerKit Cards Being Charged Soon!
To lock in order numbers for Western Deep Volume 3, we're going to charge cards and lock things up in a few weeks' time! We'll post another update to let you know when that's coming specifically, but if you've been waiting to add things to your order, or missed out on the campaign and want to get a copy of the book and/or merch anyway, head on over to our BackerKit Store soon!

All Art Approved, Book Production Begins!

We're officially off to the races! After a little back-and-forth on a minor brightness issue on the cover art, all the book material is officially approved and is ready for full production!
Our printer sent over an updated schedule based on having everything approved by today and the major estimates for everything are:
December 15th: The F&Gs (folded and gathered--basically the pages pre-binding into book form and the last chance to spot any issues before binding) are produced and presented for approval.
January 4th: Completed advance copies of the books are presented for approval.
Mid-January: The completed books arrive in the country and begin their journey to our warehouse.
Early-to-mid-February: The books arrive at our warehouse and prep for shipment to backers begins!
During this printing and shipping process over the next few months, we'll also be ordering all the prints, stickers, and pins--so expect some fun updates on those as well.
We're so excited to have everything locked in and ready to go before the holidays! We on the Western Deep team hope you have a wonderful December and New Year's! We'll be back next month with another update on where things are then!
Pages Samples Printing, Merch in the Works!

Thank you so much for your patience, everyone! I hope Daylight Savings didn't throw too many folks off and your Novembers are all off to a great start.
This is just a quick status update so folks know where things are currently at:
- The full book and cover content are COMPLETE and have been sent to Regent, our printer.
- Sample pages are currently being printed and sent to Rachel to ensure color consistency and quality control.
- Final art for the merch has been sent and is awaiting final approvals before production begins.
So, things are moving along! We'll have another update soon, hopefully, once the sample pages are delivered and vetted.
